Ruardean War Memorial Hall

Ruardean War Memorial Hall was built in the early 1950's and since then has provided a venue for the community to meet together for social occasions.
The Hall is very well used by local groups from Under Fives Playgroup, Brownies and Rainbows through to Friendly Circle, which caters for the more senior members of the community.  For the "energetic middle", there is at present a Keep Fit and a Zumba Class.  There is also a Youth Club, which meets weekly.

The Village Hall is a Registered Charity, the Committee being made up of delegates from regular user groups and some other co-opted members.  Meetings take place on the third Tuesday in the month.  However, there is no meeting in December.

£6.00 per hour        Local organisations - regular use
£7.00 per hour        Parties, etc. except business bookings
£12.00 per hour      Business bookings / Other / Weekends

Bookings may be made through  Mrs C Keen on 01594 542947

Because of changes being made to the way refuse is collected Ruardean War Memorial Hall is no longer able to dispose of waste food stuffs. The Committee therefore requests that all edible waste should be taken away, along with anything else that can be re-cycled.

Hire of the Sports Field will be assessed on an individual basis

50 / 50 Club

During the past few years, the Committee has been raising funds to refurbish the building and add a disabled cloakroom.  Fund raising is on-going in the format of a 50/50 Club and we are always looking for new members.  If you are interested in joining please contact the Promoter -
